Lung Health News, Spring / Summer 2004
California needs to improve indoor air quality inside its classrooms, according to a report issued last year that found serious problems in both traditional and portable classrooms. Assembly Member Fran Pavley (D-Agoura Hills) is introducing legislation, sponsored by the American Lung Association of California, that would require schools to assess indoor air quality problems and develop indoor air quality management plans to address those problems based on the successful Indoor Air Quality Tools For Schools Program. The American Lung Association of California is working closely with Community Action to Fight Asthma (CAFA) to rally support for the bill.
